If you were to fly, almost directly, half way around
the world, you would eventually run into the middle east, were Egypt, Israel, Libya
and many more countries are located. Out of all the countries around that area I
would like to go to Egypt most of all. Although Egypt might not be the safest
destination to travel to, considering the events that have been happening
around the world today, it is one of the oldest and most historical places you
will ever encounter. From the pyramids,
to the hieroglyphic rock carvings, a tour around the area would be incredibly
educational and one that would be remembered forever.
Egypt was founded in 3150 BC by King Menes, although
when one thinks of Egypt the first thing that they think of is the pyramids,
they were not constructed until later years, around 2700
BC. It would be truly incredible to go back in time and look at what life was
like back then, to see how people lived, what they wore, and their rituals. It
may be quite a culture shock from America, but it would be remarkable. I’m just
very curious as to what their daily routines were, what they made for dinner
every night, and what the popular jobs were.
If I traveled there now I would stay in resort includes fine dining and rooms overlooking the Red Sea, if that
does not sound like a dream, I don’t know what does. It also offers discounted
tours to Cairo, Giza, Dahab, and many other cities. One of the first tours that
I would take would be to Giza, this hosts some of the most ancient monuments in
the world. While camel back riding, you can see sacred structures, such as the Great
Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Giza, along with many temples. Another area I would
make a point to see while I am there is the Suez Canal. In world history you
are taught about so many things and to be able to see one of the things you
read about and weren’t interested in at all, all those years ago would be fascinating.

In addition, booking an autumn trip would probably be
the best, the weather in Egypt varies from extremely hot and dry to incredibly
cool. The climate there is almost unbearable. Most of the people are centered
around the Nile Valley and Delta, so about 99% of the population lives on 5.5%
of the land. Here in America that sounds so strange because we’re are growing so
rapidly and can’t imagine all our population in one place.
Overall,
this may not be the best place to travel right now, it is still a dream of
mine. It is very dangerous to travel, well really anywhere outside of the
United States, but you can’t stop your life because you are too scared. I may
just have to google pictures of this unique region, but maybe that’s for the
best. Next week I will share another one of my dream destinations.
Egypt looks like a beautiful place to travel too. the history that is there is remarkable and would be a blast to learn about. you should definitely go someday when the danger in traveling is less.
